The Warner Bros. movie, "Polar Express" offers the best of the Christmas season: a good story, children, Santa and a fantasy train ride that rivals the best imagination. In keeping with the spirit of the movie and the spirit of the season, the Magnolia Historical Society is offering its own train ride this December when the Magnolia Historical Society presents Magnolia Hometown Christmas featuring the Hometown Express.

Tickets for the Hometown Express are no longer available. We are currently at capacity, but stay tuned. There may be more vacancies come up or another train car or train ride added in the near future.

New Ride Times

  • 12:00 – Noon (boarding begins at 11:30 a.m. for Noon ride)
  • 1:30 p.m.
  • 3:00 p.m.
  • 4:30 p.m. (the Dinner ride)

The dinner train ride will include a catered dinner from Blue Iguana Tex-Mex.

If the train schedule will allow, an additional ride (non-dinner) may be added at or around 6pm.  The train conductors or Magnolia Historical Society members will know the day of the event.
