Magnolia Hometown ChristmasIt's time once again for Magnolia's Hometown Christmas. This years event will be held on Saturday Dec. 10, 2011 from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.   The historic Magnolia Depot will once again be turned into a Christmas wonderland complete with a Snow Hill and snow play area. The traditional Christmas parade (hosted by the Magnolia Area Chamber of Commerce) will begin at 10:00 am  followed by a full day of activities including:

  • a Christmas Market
  • trolley rides
  • Cookie Express,
  • Gingerbread decorating
  • a mini train ride for kids
  • carriage rides with miniature horses
  • inflatables
  • face painting
  • visits and photos with Santa
  • and more.

New this year we will be showing the Polar Express on the Depot Stage. Also you can mail your letters to Santa and to the military in the newly refurbished Magnolia post office. Also the Chamber of Commerce will host it's 3rd annual Chili Cook-Off including a gumbo cook-off and a hometown chili cook-off.  Come join us and celebrate Christmas Magnolia Style.
